About Event inBox & our editorial policy

Find a spontaneous stop or plan a weekend in Japan. Event inBox shares public event listings with Map inBox and requires no sign-in.

Sources and coverage

Listings are based on information from organizers, venues and local authorities. We show dates, venues, prices and scheduled closures. The source link on each event leads to its publisher. Our listings do not cover every event in Japan.

English listings

English titles and summaries are translations of the Japanese listings, not official English announcements. Japanese originals remain available on event pages. Addresses remain in Japanese so you can show them locally or copy them into a map. All times are Japan Standard Time (JST / UTC+9); prices are Japanese yen. A changed source invalidates its previous translation until it is updated. A notice appears where English is not yet available.

Schedules, prices and conditions

Lists take operating weekdays, excluded dates and additional dates into account. Free admission may still involve charges for food or activities. Reservation, weather and transport conditions are stated only where present in the source. Check the official website before visiting; events may change or be cancelled.

Update dates

The listing update date is the date the published data was edited, not necessarily the date the official website was last checked. We do not treat the date you view this page as a source-verification date.

Maps and images

Map coordinates may show a representative location rather than the precise entrance. Check official access information for entrances and parking. Some illustrations were created by Map inBox and are not photographs of the event; the original listing identifies these.

Corrections

Send the event URL, the correction and a supporting official link to the address below. We check corrections against official information.

Privacy

Visits from the same IP address and browser are counted once per day. Reloads and map actions do not add visits. We use no analytics cookies. IP and browser information are converted into daily changing identifiers; their original values, searches and location are not stored for analytics. Duplicate-check identifiers are deleted after a short period; daily totals are retained. Administrator visits are excluded using separate keyed hashes rather than stored IP addresses.
