About the event
A temporary exhibition of micromosaic jewelry and framed works made from glass pieces just 1–2 mm across, using a technique rooted in Italian traditional craft. Runs September 12–November 8, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00 JST, with last admission at 16:30. Closed September 30. Admission includes all museum exhibition rooms. Artists are scheduled to attend on November 8; contact the museum for times. Related accessory workshops run on October 24, November 7 and November 8 at 10:00 and 13:30, lasting approximately 60–90 minutes, with four places per session. Advance bookings have priority; same-day participation is possible if space remains. Workshop fees are JPY 3,850, 4,400 or 5,500, including materials and instruction, plus museum admission. Advance workshop reservations reduce admission to JPY 1,000 for adults and JPY 500 for junior high school students; same-day workshop applicants pay normal admission. Bring a magnifier or glasses if needed for detailed work. Major museum repair work has been extended until next spring. On October 25, the Suwako Marathon is expected to close the lakeside road in front of the museum from 08:20 to 10:15; National Route 20 is not subject to these restrictions. Exhibitions and related events may be changed or cancelled. The pin is the facility point linked from the official museum Google Map.
